One year Book Blogging Anniversary Extravaganza
Edit: This contest is International! Also you can pick the color of your choice.
In January I am celebrating my one year book blogging anniversary. I have met so many awesome bloggers, readers, and publishers this year and I want to have a fun contest as a thank you for all the support and fun times you all have given me here at Bookalicio.us.
After careful thinking about what to do for my anniversary, my wonderful husband (who designed and coded up this blog) came up with the idea to give away a Sony Pocket Reader, such as mine seen above in the picture of me cheesing with my pinkalicious reader. I can’t say enough how many times I have thanked my husband for buying me my reader as a surprise gift. I love the store at Sony and that it is compatible with my libraries ebook system, and that it takes pretty much any format out there. I have read a lot with my reader and I hope the winner of this contest reads a lot with theirs. Hopefully this reader will come all loaded up (I haven’t worked on that part of it yet, procrastinator), with cool stuff from some of the pubs I have worked with this year.
There will be a secondary prize of a Powell’s gift certificate for $30 and a third prize for a YA book of ones choice.
Entries will be counted and a random number generator will choose our three winners.
To enter just Tweet: I want to win a Sony Pocket Reader from Bookalicious! http://bit.ly/7dB8os #bookalicious
You will need to make sure to use that hash tag in order to win. Tweet only once. Multiple entries will be discarded and you will be disqualified. We don’t want to spam our friends for the whole month!
If you do want secondary entries, write a blog, or mention the contest on your facebook, or myspace about the contest linking to the post here on Bookalicio.us and tweet the link of your blog or update using the hashtag #bookalicious.
Contest runs all through January, I will announce the winners February 1st via a tweet from the Bookaliciouspam account to a vlog of the drawing. You then have one week to contact me for your prize. Good luck, good reading, and thank you!

My first Give Away: Dreaming Anastasia, & Bran Hambric
If you read my blog you probably realize that I don’t really participate in blog tours, and give aways. I like to read books and post my thoughts and not feel obligated in any professional sense. That being said, I have to say I am participating in blog tours and give aways for two Source Books titles. These books were too awesome to not participate. So without further rambling, lets get to the contest info!
Dreaming Anastasia
Description
What really happened to Anastasia Romanov?
Anastasia Romanov thought she would never feel more alone than when the gunfire started and her family began to fall around her. Surely the bullets would come for her next. But they didn’t. Instead, two gnarled old hands reached for her. When she wakes up she discovers that she is in the ancient hut of the witch Baba Yaga, and that some things are worse than being dead.
In modern-day Chicago, Anne doesn’t know much about Russian history. She is more concerned about getting into a good college—until the dreams start. She is somewhere else. She is someone else. And she is sharing a small room with a very old woman. The vivid dreams startle her, but not until a handsome stranger offers to explain them does she realize her life is going to change forever. She is the only one who can save Anastasia. But, Anastasia is having her own dreams…

Bran Hambric
In a bustling metropolis where magic is outlawed, a six-year-old child is found inside a locked bank vault. A scrap of paper reveals his name: Bran Hambric. The child remembers nothing of his life before the vault. Only magic could have done this. But why would any mage risk breaking the law to place a child in a bank vault?
Eight years later the City of Dunce has forgotten about Bran. Even his foster parents don’t seem to know he exists. But there are those who have been watching, biding their time, waiting to strike, people who know where Bran came from and why he was sent away. And they will do anything to get Bran back, dead or alive…
