Okay – so this will be a shocker, but I’m not a big romance reader, however, a subscription model for books makes so much sense. Audible does it and I’m a sucker for their service. I know I’ll buy at least 1 audio book a month, so for me this ends up a being a great deal.

Also – http://www.cbomc.com/ does this for children’s books – sort of. In a way. Kind of.

There are a few services out there like this, but the bigger question I have is why it’s landed so well for TV (decades of success with subscription based content), and why the music and video games industry have failed with this.

Now you’ve really got me thinking :)

I might consider this. For some authors/series, I prefer to have the paperback, simply because once I get one book by that author or in that series in paperback, I need ALL of them that way. But when I can, I get the cheap ebooks.

On the other hand, there’s some awesome indies I get to go to a couple times a year with really good, really cheap romance sections. So, it’s a tough choice.
