My agent, and one of her clients Doug Rees (The Juliet Spell) have started a backlist e-publishing company that helps revert rights for children’s authors for their long out of print books. It gives readers a chance to read the backlist of an author they love. This is a plan I can get behind. We were having lunch one day as publishing people are known to do when we had the idea of doing a charity e-anthology under the banner of the backlist publisher Ambush Books.
We are still signing authors up for the anthology, and while we do all of that and hammer out all of the paperwork and marketing stuff we wanted to open the anthology to one unpublished author. Basically, you will need to write a story for teens that involves witches in some way. The tentative title is called The Craft, so draw any witchy inspiration you need from that. Stories will be judged by a panel.
Stories need to be all of these things:
-3,000-5,000 words in length
-be original in content
-sent to email@example.com before May 31st midnight EST.
The story is slated for an October release :) Have fun writing and if you have any questions leave a comment or get me on social media or email.
