I’m glad someone liked it. I was really looking forward to it and just felt it kind of fell flat. I did like the idea of separating classes by language and enjoyed your personal anecdote about how it feels to be left out of the conversation. I just really didn’t care for The Pledge and the ending felt too rushed and easy for me.

I can’t wait to read this book! I’m a fan of Kimberly Derting, and was worried for The Pledge…not so much any more. Great review

Great review Pam! I loved this one as well and how language was used as such a large societal barrier. I could analyze the implications everyday! Hope your day goes well.
