This is one of the few modern-retellings I can handle, and I LOVED it. Loved,loved,loved,loved,loved,loved it. It was so beautiful, it didn’t seem new at all. It seemed ancient, ancient and bright and beautiful.

Oh, I’m so glad that this seems to be a crowd pleaser. I havent read it but love the concept. I’m also happy about the strong female lead. SO important, always.

This sounds like a beautiful read! I’m going to have to put this on a wishlist, for sure! That cover is absolutely gorgeous. I read the Ursu’s guest post, too, and I love how there’s illustrations in it!

It’s always good when a retelling encapsulates so much beauty since that’s what I expect from a fairy tale.
