Hi, all! Thanks for the cool interview, Pam! If anyone has any other questions you can't find the answers to on our website, please feel free to ask me on Twitter or email me at news@paperlanternlit.com. I'm one of the two interns, but I've been with PLL since we were founded. I do some editorial work and I do all of the stuff you see from us online from the tweets to the newsletter. I'd be happy to talk to you about the company!

Tonya: We are constantly reading submissions. Lauren didn't mention them because they are not members of our regular staff, but we have two fantastic readers who go through every single submission and carefully select which ones go on to Lauren & Lexa to check out. We read selections even when we're not actively looking to hire a writer. But we know what's coming down the pipe, so if we see something in a writer that we think might work for a future project, we hold on to the sample until we're ready to audition for that project. So I don't have an exact "we hire a new writer every X months" answer, because each project is unique. But we are always thinking about our next writer in every sample we read.

Hope that helps!

Great interview that piqued my interest enough to go digging through their website.

Next question... How often do they find/accept new authors?
*hint, hint*
