YA Lit Chat Made of Awesome Author Spotlight: Julia DeVillers

April 13th and 14th at 9pm EST are going to be chalk full of YA authors, prizes and general pandaemonium as only the YA YA YA’s can induce. Your three blogging partners Mundie Moms, Novel Novice and myself will be spotlighting six authors each for six days so you can really get to know the awesome folk you will be chatting with.

From Julia’s Bio:

Julia DeVillers is a bestselling author of books for kids, tweens and teens.

Her book, How My Private Personal Journal became the Disney Channel Original Movie, Read it and Weep. Julia appears in a cameo as “Grossed-out customer being served pizza with real chicken feet sticking out of it.”

Her books have been featured in the New York Times, USA Today and all the major teen magazines.

She writes books for Simon and Schuster, Dutton, and Random House. She is represented by Mel Berger at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment.

Julia was born in Albany, New York. She has a twin sister Jennifer and a younger sister, Amy.

She went to school ….

Julia is spending a year or so overseas in Tbilisi, Georgia (the former Soviet Republic!) with her husband and two children and a maltipoo named Bradley. She also lives in New Albany, Ohio.

I haven’t read anything by Julia DeVillers. I am so glad this event gave me reason to stalk… erm check her stuff out. With titles like Princess of Gossip and Liberty Porter, First Daughter, I already know I am going to be a huge fan of her work.

    Omigosh! I had no idea that Disney Channel movie was based on a book (I think Read it and Weep was one of the last Disney Channel movies I watched before, uh, “growing up”)! Thanks for introducing me to the author! =)
