I've been in the hospital and seen teens suffering. I've seen the confusion, the marks, and I'd like the library to go down and look and those teens, to actually sit and listen to them and then see what they say. To take a book away that can help them. It's hard to face reality but that's something we MUST do, we can't just sit in the dark anymore because that is what makes everything worse. This book can’t be banned!

I live minutes away from Boone County and I'm really saddened such a book would be challenge. I'm not surprised though - there's a variety of opinions lurking in Kentucky, and some of them are towards the negative side when it comes to LGBT. I just read the update on her site and found out it's still on the shelves so far, so that's good. I'll be blogging about this shortly. Great post! A customer challenged the book. We simply contacted the author to find out more about her book. Currently we have four copies of the book, all checked out. Here’s the link to our catalog:
