January fare the well

So after careful deliberation and long thoughts about it (I ponder everything) I decided to participate in the monthly wrap up that I see so many of you doing this year. Let’s see how many months I do it.

January was a month I didn’t read so much and what I read was mostly just okay some great ones though also. I am reading Fallen now. I finished the Fantasy Challenge already. I do not know whether to feel proud of myself for reading 6 fantasy titles in January or ashamed to let you all know how deep my geeky side runs.

I read Wondrous Strange it was an absolute delight. I am happy to give away and review Darklight (Wondrous Strange 2) on the 12th of February with Harper Teen’s 28 Day Giveaway.

I tried to read Heart of Darkness from Harlequin and failed. I made it through the first story but sparkly harpy and uptight angel shmex really isn’t my thing. If you like steamy romance this is for you!

I read Hearts at Stake the first of The Drake Chronicles from Alyxandra Harvey and fell in love! I even interviewed the character Lucy from the book.

Read an ARC of Merlin’s Harp from Source and fell in love with Crompton’s Arthurian Legend.

I read Moonlight by Rachel Hawthorne. I have the next two books on my shelf. Moonlight is on sale at Amazon right now on the cheap. Check it out.

The worst book I read so far this year was The School for Dangerous Girls

I read the second book from The Evermore Series, Blue Moon and that swiftly prompted me to buy the third. Shadowland.

I read Aurelia and was unimpressed, I didn’t write a review.

I read The Secret Life of Josephine by Carolly Erickson. If you haven’t read any three of her Historical Fiction you really should. This will be reviewed this week on my Hist Fic blog I co-write with Catherine Haines (who just happens to be writing like the best Faerie story ever just ask Michelle Zink for real) Tales as Old as Time Reviews

Read Darklight (Wondrous Strange 2) in anticipation of my day on the 28 Day Giveaway.

If you ever wonder where my books come from you can click the “Read in 2010″ header at the top of my blog.
