I wanted to write a long post on how I looked at my bookshelf and had only read 5 or 6 POC books last year. I wanted to say I am going to try to do better. I instead decided to use what little reach I have to encourage others including myself to read more POC authors and characters.

In this case, brevity works :-)
I have a really horrible habit of NOT reading books when I sign up for challenges. I sign up with vim and vigor and then promptly lose interest in reading ANY books that actually lead to my accomplishing the task.
So I’m going to subversively NOT sign up in the hopes that that way I WILL accomplish the goal of reading significantly more books by POC.

I’m groaning at wanting to do this, but knowing I have too many challenges now to keep track. I’m starting to forget the which challenge is where and what book goes to which. I’ve already got my reading so planned out, that if I don’t have POC books in it now, I’ll probably not be able to get to it.
*whine and twist and whine some more*
Maybe I’ll add the button and link on my challenge page… I’ve already read two Asian authors.
